Wish Lists, An Update

A few months ago I wrote a couple of posts about escort wish lists and promised to publish my own one soon. Now "soon" may not be a defined length of time, but going by the amount of text I managed to produce on the subject, you could be forgiven for expecting me to have added one by now!
My "gifts in place of fees" experiment will have to be put on hold for the time being, but with the recent controversy surrounding the, by now, infamous wish list of Danica from Celebrity Big Brother, now seemed a good time to finally finish and advertise my own Amazon Wish List.
A recent thread on the fabulous escorts forum over at Saafe (a must-read for any newbie escort and those thinking of entering the industry) has alerted me to a danger associated with the Amazon Wish Lists of which I was previously unaware. The idea is you can create a list of things you'd like and people can then treat you to one (or more!) of those items without ever knowing your real name or address - they pay and Amazon delivers without disclosing any details. The problem arises when you add items from other Internet sites to your Amazon Wish List. Apparently there have been incidents where ladies' details have been shared despite their opting to keep them private. As my wish list included items from sources separate from Amazon (most notably Myla and Agent Provocateur,) it's just as well I have neglected to advertise it before now.
It was while browsing other escorts' blogs that I discovered there was a more suitable alternative to the Amazon Wish List for my needs. I spied on the truly excellent blog of Miss Charlotte Dean that it is possible to create a wish list with Love Honey. As the Love Honey site has the best range of sex toys and accessories I've found to date, I shall be starting a list with them this very evening. I hope Miss Charlotte Dean doesn't mind my copying her. Do check out her blog. As I mentioned before, it's really fabulous.

Available for Escort Appointments Again, Finally!

(and a little insight into calling an escort for the first time.)

After an extended break from escorting, I'm pleased to announce that I'm finally available for Chester in-calls once again, as well as out-calls across the North West.
I've had my phone switched on for a few days already - mainly as an experiment to discover how much of a difference is made to the volume of calls my phone receives by updating my site and posting a blog entry. Almost everyone I've spoken to has asked if I'm back from my travels yet. This has delighted me, allow me to explain the reason why.

Clients calling to arrange an escort booking tend to fall into one of two broad categories.

1. The client who's in the area and wants to see an escort, any escort, and wants to see them very soon

This client is acting on impulse with no advance planning. He will search for the details of anyone available in that area. After a quick glance over the photos of everyone found, this client will try calling the listed mobile number of anyone where he likes what he sees. Phrases they're likely to say include:

"I could be there in 20 minutes!"

"What do you charge for half an hour?"

and then there's the one I bet most ladies dread the most:

"Can I have some details please?"

By now you may well be wondering where I'm going with this. After all none of the above are in any way offensive, while the last one is perfectly polite, they even said "please."

2. The client who's been planning his visit for some time

This client has really done his homework. He's researched the ladies working in the area, narrowed it down to a few possibilities, then gone back to visit the sites of those selected on more than one occasion... well you can see where I'm headed. This gentleman (and they almost always are just that: lovely, well-mannered, respectful gentlemen) doesn't just want to see an escort, he wants to meet us - as in ourselves - personally. They tend to be interested in who we are as people, not just what we look like and how much we charge. Clients can fall into this category even if they haven't planned the visit in advance, the key difference (and a better title perhaps) is this client has at least taken the trouble to read the information given on our sites.

Now I don't proclaim to speak for every escort, but I bet I speak for many when I say we really appreciate it when a prospective client takes the time to read the information we've provided on our sites and profiles or, at the very least, the parts relevant to their needs. Of course I'm happy to confirm important points, such as price and/or availability of a specific service, when a meeting is being arranged - far better to do so than risk embarrassment or disappointment after all. What I do not wish to do is give a full description of myself over the phone. Nor do I want to recite a full list the services I offer. And it is just plain awkward to find myself met with stunned silence or an incredulous reaction when my rates are mentioned, from someone who had planned to spend less than £100 on the appointment.

I will not be trying to "sell" a booking when you call.

If you need to be enticed into arranging a meeting, or persuaded into booking when you're in two minds about it all, please don't bother to phone me. That's the purpose of my websites, it's what I put them up there for. I'm more likely to try to talk you out of making a booking than I am try to talk you into it! If anything about our conversation sets alarm bells ringing, or if I even get the feeling we won't "click" I will suggest, as politely as possible, that I may not be quite what you're looking for. It's a luxury I'm afforded by the fact I now limit in-calls to a maximum of four each week, and I'd far rather have no work than take any chances.


So why have I been so delighted to be asked if I'm back in the country again yet? Well it shows the caller has read my site and/or blog at least sufficiently to know the last update I published said I was taking a break to go on my travels. And that means they're my kind of client!

Just a quick announcement as I'm having a few technical problems updating my main escort site.

I have booked another exotic trip to the tropics, this time for an extended vacation, and will only be available between now and Saturday afternoon (14th April.)

As previously advertised, I'm relaxing my usual rule of 2 hours minimum. One hour to 90 minute bookings are on offer, for a fee of £200.

The area I'm visiting is incredibly poor. All the money I earn between now and the time I leave is entirely reserved for charitable purposes. Every last penny will be put towards improving the living standards of some of the world's poorest, most deserving people.

There's one orphanage in particular with which I have very strong ties, and I hope to raise enough to fund a couple of projects, both of which will make a real difference to the lives of the children who live there.

Please rest assured, I am not asking for donations of any kind. Any monies received are strictly in exchange for services provided, as per usual. I'd just like to stress that if you've been contemplating making an appointment for some point in the future, now would be a great time to put that plan into action.

I love being low volume

It's about time I stopped waxing lyrical about how I must get around to posting a new blog entry and actually started to write one instead. Since moving to my new place and limiting the number of clients I see to a maximum of one a day, I've become far too relaxed for my own good. I've lost all sense of urgency (and the majorities of my worries and stresses along with it.)

A slow month, a very, very slow month

You may well deduct from the notice above that March has not been a good month for business. You would not be wrong. My phone is the quietest it's ever been since I launched myself as an independent companion despite average number of visits my sites receive being a good 50% higher this year than the latter part of last year (and about 5 times what they were this time last year.) Luckily my calls to conversion rate (guess who had her head stuck in a marketing manual last night?!) is, as always, pretty high so things are ticking by.

Reviewing my rates

I'm so frustrated by the many changes of heart I've had regarding what fees I should charge now that my situation/circumstances have changed. I recently posted an entry about increasing my rates as I was mainly touring in London (and in order to be able to provide incalls in Chester when not touring, as my expenses have risen sharply.) Now, until I decided to mess around with my rates I felt I had them pretty much at the right level

 If you've visited my site recently you'll have noticed I've increased my rates http://chloeofchester.co.uk/donations. Now I know you're thinking "money grabbing cow" so I'm taking this opportunity to explain my reasons for doing so, I just hope you'll hear me out. 

The increase in my rates is due entirely to the changes in my circumstances of late. As you'll know if you read this blog or visit my site I no longer have an apartment from which to offer in-calls, and am spending most of my time touring. Needless to say my expenses have gone over the roof, far more so than I could ever hope to cover even with an increase in rates.

That's it, it's all over. I've done my last in-call from my lovely Chester City Centre apartment, and I'm officially taking a week's break to move, rest and recharge my batteries. I should be pleased and excited about new opportunities opening up, except right now I'm feeling rather depressed. The reason for this is I'm totally surrounded by boxes.

I started this post while I was still in my old apartment and my move had been delayed after I was let down by a couple of people.  I'm pleased to say I have now, finally, completely moved all my things out and handed the keys back. I've moved into my new house, which I won't be using for work and can enjoy the last few days of my break without quite so much stress.

I've reached my decision

For the last few weeks I've been toying with different ideas regarding my plans for the next few months. I finally made my decision this morning and all that remains is to announce it:
I will only be offering Chester in-calls until 11th February. After this date I won't be doing in-calls in the area for at least three months, and while I may still do the odd out-call I don't really intent to work in the area for quite a while. Instead I'll be arranging weekly or fortnightly tours around England and Wales.
