London Tour Next Week

I'm so excited to announce I'll be in London next week for a quickie tour in Kensington. I'll be arriving Wednesday (20th April) and staying until Sunday or Monday (24th or 25th April). It's my first trip to London after my disasterous visit at the beginning of March. Despite only just deciding to go half an hour ago and having very little time to advertise I have high hopes that this one will be fairly successful and highly enjoyable  (I have a secret weapon for bringing the bookings in!)

A slow month, a very, very slow month

(This post was started 2 weeks before being published)

Please note: Heathrow tour cancelled. Chester incalls now available until 26th March.

You may well deduct from the notice above that March has not been a good month for business. You would not be wrong. My phone is the quietest it's ever been since I launched myself as an independent companion despite average number of visits my sites receive being a good 50% higher this year than the latter part of last year (and about 5 times what they were this time last year.) Luckily my calls to conversion rate (guess who had her head stuck in a marketing manual last night?!) is, as always, pretty high so things are ticking by.

Delighted to be back in York after a disappointing London tour

To say I'd been excited about my first tour in London is something of an understatement. I'd not only been looking forward to working in London for the first time since I worked for Maxes Angels (one of best agencies in the country, if not the best) a couple of years ago. I'd also been almost unbearably ecstatic at the thought of just spending time in the city I called home for the majority of my adult life.

Reviewing my rates

I'm so frustrated by the many changes of heart I've had regarding what fees I should charge now that my situation/circumstances have changed. I recently posted an entry about increasing my rates as I was mainly touring in London (and in order to be able to provide incalls in Chester when not touring, as my expenses have risen sharply.) Now, until I decided to mess around with my rates I felt I had them pretty much at the right level

My rates increase (now edited)

Please note, while the contents of this blog were true at the time, things no longer stand as descibed below. For a full account of the sitution to date please see the next two blog entries

If you've visited my site recently you'll have noticed I've increased my rates http://chloeofchester.co.uk/donations. Now I know you're thinking "money grabbing cow" so I'm taking this opportunity to explain my reasons for doing so, I just hope you'll hear me out.

The increase in my rates is due entirely to the changes in my circumstances of late. As you'll know if you read this blog or visit my site I no longer have an apartment from which to offer in-calls, and am spending most of my time touring. Needless to say my expenses have gone over the roof, far more so than I could ever hope to cover even with an increase in rates.

Falling in love with York

It's nearing the end of my first ever tour and I must say I've enjoyed it immensely. I've spent the last few days in a lovely hotel in York, somewhere I haven't visited since I was a little kid. Unfortunately it was only a short stay. Too short by far, I've enjoyed myself immensely, whilst having no time to do any of the many things I'd planned. I decided to visit the city as my first ever organised tour. Typically I arranged it completely oblivious to the fact that this week, being February half term, is well known by pretty much everybody in the business (including myself  if I was actually to think about it) as being the quietest week of the year workwise.

I've reached my decision

For the last few weeks I've been toying with different ideas regarding my plans for the next few months. I finally made my decision this morning and all that remains is to announce it:
I will only be offering Chester in-calls until 11th February. After this date I won't be doing in-calls in the area for at least three months, and while I may still do the odd out-call I don't really intent to work in the area for quite a while. Instead I'll be arranging weekly or fortnightly tours around England and Wales.

Upcoming Tours

I'm delighted to say I've organised 2 tours:
  YORK 22nd-25th Feb
  LONDON 1st-4th March
I'm starting to get rather excited, seems like I haven't been out of Chester in months. Both tours are Tuesday to Friday inclusive and they're two places I'm really keen on visiting, although for very different reasons.
I haven't been to York since I hit puberty, but remember it being a fascinating city. The culture vulture in me can't wait to visit all the museums and historical sights. Wherever I stay will have a spa very nearby and the lazier side of me is looking forward to some serious pampering.
